Preptober is almost over!
Okay, I've been in the thick of Preptober as of late, preparing to write my first draft for my first novel, and it's got me totally consumed! My attention, time & energy are all wrapped up in this project.
It's exciting, I must say, but it's a bit exhausting as well. I'm not getting enough sleep at night and that can't be good, but I believe I'm making positive progress. :)
A big shout-out goes to my newfound virtual writing mentor, although she doesn't know it, Abbie Emmons. I LOVE her -- at least I love what I've seen of her in about a half dozen videos of her. Check her out if you’re looking to write a novel yourself.
Anyway, this is why you have not heard from me in over a week. I'm sorry.
While I expect I will still probably be very busy over the next month (NaNoWriMo starts in TWO DAYS!) writing, writing, writing, I hope to pop in periodically to share something meaningful to me and something hopefully meaningful to you through this venue.
As for this writing, I've already addressed my meaningful-to-me endeavor (tackling this monumental project and finding someone I appreciate & enjoy to virtually mentor me along the way).
Now, onto my hopefully meaningful-to-you something...
Website Overhauls
Earlier this month I started overhauling my two websites: WiggleCulture.com and Messyanic.com.
I've converted them into organized content sites as opposed to primarily being blogs with haphazard (& inconsistent) postings. (I still have some finishing touches to do.)
While each of the sites still contain blog posts from me, they are not front & center.
On WiggleCulture.com many of the blog posts can be found on my "read" page, which is currently linked from the home page under the heading: Get to Know Us, where it says, "Read some of our featured posts".
On Messyanic.com all of my blog posts can be found on my "posts" page. And there's a link in the header of each webpage that takes you to those Blog Posts.
Beyond this, however, I'm attempting to improve each site, making it easier to know what's all available on each of them & making it simple to navigate (while at the same time keeping the upfront content current).
So, if you're interested in learning more about how me & my husband are creating our own counterculture in the natural world, please visit WiggleCulture.com.
And, if you're interested in learning more about my journey with the Bible — taking the road less traveled, what I've learned through it & what I have to offer as a result, please visit Messyanic.com.
And, please, if you ever have any questions or comments on what you see, reach out to me and say so. I'd love to hear what you're thinking.
That's it for me today. (Now, I need to get back to work! So much to do with so little time left to do it!)
Until next time, take care. And have a glorious day!
Sincerely,
Carrie (not Kelly)
