Meeting Friends, Picking Berries & Feeding Bunnies
A short visit to the homestead reveals bountiful blessings.
Good Monday Afternoon! :)
I had a nice weekend visit back on the homestead. How about you? What did you do this past weekend?
Besides seeing & being with the rest of my family, which is something I always look forward to, I had the opportunity to meet & make a new friend.
Last month, someone reached out to me through our website.
She said she read Our Story (an earlier version of it) and was interested in coming out to see us. So, this weekend we made the in-person connection happen. :)
And that was a delightful & encouraging visit.
Also, I saw that the strawberry beds that I had weeded the last time I was home were now producing ripening berries. How exciting!

I pulled a bunch of weeds to add to the wheelbarrow-full my husband took to feed our bunny rabbits, and I got a closer view of them —there’s a gazillion of them!
The garden beds that my daughter & husband planted & covered this winter were uncovered & weeded, And I saw they are now producing peas, spinach, and lettuce — all ready for the picking — of which I did & ate. :)
(There’s also a ton of broccoli plants coming on and other assorted veggies in earlier stages of development. Yay!)

And then I saw the potatoes my husband planted, and those plants are also coming along nicely.
What a blessing to have food growing out of the ground!
What about you? Do you have anything growing in your yard? Tell me about it!
Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Sincerely,
Carrie (not Kelly)
Love it, Carrie! Appreciate the pictures and hearing about your progress.
